Discussion Time!

I think that a discussion about this would be good to have before we all met:

Why are you going and what is the number one thing you expect this trip to do for you?

I love to travel and try new things! I'm going for the adventure and to have some great experiences. I love history, so I'm excited to see the places we've been learning about. I'm also a singer, so I'm excited to see places in Europe that are important to music history. Example: Austria - Mozart! I expect to learn a lot about the world this way and meet lots of new people. I expect this to help me see things from a different perspective.

Liz, I agree with you.

Traveling opens our eye's to the world and really expands our perspective. I think that the more we see and experience, the greater amount of compassion we are capable of.

Also, it's been a dream of mine to go to Europe. I think it will help all willing and actively engaged participants to become more well rounded people.

I have always loved the history of the roman empire, and it has just grown inside of me throughout the years - leaving me with a huge desire to visit the historic sites in Italy. I have also always loved the Italian culture.

I know that this will be the experience of a lifetime, and something that I may never have the chance to do again. So instead of dreaming, I decided to make my dreams come true.

Plus, this is such an amazing opportunity. We only have to pay to have someone set up an entire month-long trip for us. It's quite beautiful when you think about it actually. :)

I'm going on this trip because all my life I have been dying to go to Europe for some reason. I haven't ever been out of the country and I think that it's a great thing to do, especially at this time in my life. I'm just excited for everything! I can't chose just one thing! I'm really excited to meet new people as well. It's gonna be AMAZING!!!!!

I'm about to graduate with my degree in History Education, so going on this trip will help me teach the history and culture of Europe to my students with insights you can't get from a text book. Plus i love to travel, but don't get to do it very much. I have been out of the country before, but since it was on a cruise, they didn't stamp my pass port and thats something i've always wanted to have, a pass port full of stamps.

I am an Art major and so naturally it has been a life long dream to go visit the area that created art. I love learning about it and I think it will help me out with my future pursuits.
